Suggested Levels

IA 5 = Senior Director (of IA or UX) IA 4 = Director IA 3 = Lead IA IA 2 = Senior IA IA 1 = Information Architect

(someone on the UX-Mgmt list also suggested distinguishing between a managerial track and an individual contributor track, offering the term Principal as the equivalent of Director. We use those same terms at Yahoo! If so, then you could perhaps do something like this:

IA5 = Sr. Director / Sr. Principal IA4 = Director / Principal IA3 = IA/UX Manager / Lead IA IA2 = Senior IA IA 1 = Information Architect )
